Step One: Hoop a layer of water-soluble Vilene with fabric. Let the machine embroider the outline of the design.

Step Two: Take the hoop out of the machine. Do NOT take the fabric out of the hoop! With sharp scissors cut away the fabric inside the outline.

Step Three: Insert the hoop into the machine and let it embroider the design.

Step Four: Take the fabric out of the hoop and cut away the excess stabilizer.

Step Five: After you finish embroidering all the designs on your working piece, place the fabric into a bowl of warm water to dissolve the remainder of the stabilizer. Change the water several times. Spread on a flat surface and leave to air dry. Iron with steam.

The designs from the set can be used to make many household items – table runners, doilies, coasters, curtains, etc. Here are some pictures of what we made with the designs.
